Dr. Morales is a native of Fort Worth, Texas and can remember when Roanoke was NOT the unique dining capital of Texas.  He is a 2005 distinguished graduate of the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York.  He received his medical degree in 2009 from The University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, the nation’s first medical school, founded in 1765 by Benjamin Franklin and Dr. John Morgan.  He completed his internship in general surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington followed by a deployment overseas.  He then completed residency in Urological Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas.  During his residency, he was the recipient of the resident Academic Excellence award as well as the 2013 Willet. F. Whitmore Memorial Scholar at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He stayed in his home state after graduation from residency and furthered his training at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston where he did his fellowship in Urologic Oncology before returning to UT Health San Antonio to complete his training.  He was appointed Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine, and served as staff urologic oncologist at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio before completing his military service of twenty years in 2021.  After leaving the military, he spent 2 and a half years as a solo urologist in rural South Texas taking care of patients of all ages specializing in both general urology and urologic oncology.  He could not be happier to be back to his hometown and have a partnership with Dr. Stroud at Lonestar Urology!

He is married to Lacy J. Morales, a beautiful certified critical care Registered Nurse, and together they have five wonderful children.  In his spare time he enjoys traveling with his family, exploring new cuisines, craft beers and ales, bodybuilding, protein shakes (he will always have one nearby if you look hard enough) and anything to do with red meat.
